My toy cars travelled for miles
across the bedroom carpet isles;
over the linoleum plains;
around my house and back again.
across the bedroom carpet isles;
over the linoleum plains;
around my house and back again.
Its climbed the high mountain of stairs
and in my hand zoomed through the air;
sailed far across the bathtub sea;
been everywhere a car can be.
and in my hand zoomed through the air;
sailed far across the bathtub sea;
been everywhere a car can be.
Its crossed the snows of duvet land
and, at the beach, crossed desert sands;
roamed through the forests of the lawn
where lives the plastic unicorn.
and, at the beach, crossed desert sands;
roamed through the forests of the lawn
where lives the plastic unicorn.
And even, in my dreams, my car
has rode on motorways of stars
to a planet shaped like a wheel;
a world of toy automobiles.
has rode on motorways of stars
to a planet shaped like a wheel;
a world of toy automobiles.
