Chorus 1:
Oh, Spring, how I’ve waited for thee;
your pretty blooms, again, to see.
When ice and snow lay everywhere;
I prayed that Spring would soon be here.
Verse 1:
But to myself, “Be patient”, said;
soon Springtime’s sun will raise its head;
the snow and ice will slowly thaw
then t’will be pretty spring once more.
Chorus 2:
Oh Spring how I’ve waited for thee;
bright blossoms blessing every tree
and all around the joyful throng
of little birds in Springtime song.
Verse 2:
And all I’ve longed for has occurred.
I see the blooms; I hear the birds;
against my skin feel golden rays
that is why, Spring, I sing your praise.
Chorus 3:
Oh, Spring, how I’ve waited for thee;
your pretty blooms, again, to see;
my heart’s overflowing with cheer
now that Spring flowers glow everywhere.
