Long ago there lived a monster called a Wident; a giant of wideness.
Though no taller than an ordinary human being, its head was as wide as the middle of a barrel and its body as wide as the middle of a boulder and to support this wider body it had three legs with clawed feet.
It had 5 eyes too, three at the front of its head and two at the back and two noses and two mouths full of sharp teeth and 2 pairs of big ears, one pair facing forwards and one pair facing behind it.
And, unfortunately, one day a young man called Will was walking home through the woods when he saw a Wident cave and the wident standing inside it.
But the Wident had its back turned to him and so Will thought it would be safe to creep up close and have a look at it.
Unfortunately, when he was only a few feet away from it, the Wident heard his footsteps with its second pair of ears, the ones that face backwards and it opened up the two eyes in the back of its head, letting out a loud roar from both of its mouths.
Ofcourse, the moment that happened Will started to run as fast as he could but the Wident had three legs and so it could run extraordinarilly fast.
"You can't out run me", roared the Wident reaching out with its wide hands with eight clawed fingers and two clawed thumbs on each hand.
However, just then, Will saw a cave with a narrow opening in it and he ran inside it to hide.
And because the entrance to the cave was narrow the Wident, with it wide head and body, couldn't fit through it.
"Rarr!", roared the Wident, "Come out of there so that I can eat you".
"Never", said Will.
And so the Wident sat down upon a wide rock outside the cave and waited for Will to come out, watching the cave with the eyes in the back of its head.
And fortunately, while the Wident was waiting it got so bored that it fell asleep.
But Will still didn't dare setting foot outside the cave incase the Wident woke up and so he explored the inside of the cave instead.
And inside the cave Will found a Greatfoot gnome, a type of little man with giant feet.
"Get out of my house", growled the gnome to him grumpilly, "Or I'll kick you with my big feet".
And saying that, the Greatfoot kicked Will in the shins.
"Ouch!", said Will.
But then Will started to tickle the soles of the Greatfoots enormous feet which were very sensitive and it collapsed on its back laughing.
"Stop! Stop!", said the Greatfoot, "Stop tickling me".
"Not until you grant me some wishes", said Will.
"Alright! Alright!", said the gnome.
And so then Will asked the gnome for two things, a big bag of gold coins and a pair of silent shoes.
And putting on the silent shoes, Will crept out of the cave past the sleeping Wident and because the shoes made his footsteps silent the Wident didn't hear him.
Unfortunately, the bag of gold coins that Will was carrying had a hole in it and one of the gold coins, falling from the bag clattered upon the ground loudly enough to wake up the Wident.
And opening all 5 of its eyes and seeing Will creeping away, the Wident, letting out a loud roar, started to chase after him again.
And so, again, Will ran as fast as he could but it was hard to run fast carrying the heavy bag of coins and so Will shouted out,
"A bag of gold coins to anyone who will save me from this Wident".
And, fortunately, a hunter was riding through the woods and, hearing Will, fired his bow at the wident, hitting it in all 3 of its front eyes with 3 of his arrows.
Unfortunately, however, the hunter was a greedy crook and so, aswell as taking Wills bag of gold, he abducted the boy and sold him to an old witch who wanted a slave to do all her work for her.
And, in the house of the witch, she had another prisoner, a Princess from a far away kingdom.
The witch was very powerful because of the tall pointy head she had under her tall pointy hat and her talking book of spells but Will still had on his pair of quiet shoes and so he waited for the Witch to go to sleep and then, stealing her book of spells, he gave one of the Quiet shoes to the Princess and, each of them hopping on one quiet shoe, they both hopped out of the witches house.
But then the Witch woke up and, seeing Will and the Princess missing, broke a flying branch off of her witching tree and climbing upon the branch flew out after them and her branch flew so fast that it was not long before she had caught up with them.
In desperation, Will opened her talking spell book at a random page and, fortunately, on the page was a spell to summon the Wident.
"By all the powers that are hidden. Come forth Wident and do my bidding", said the book.
And no sooner had the talking spell book spoken when, in a roar of thunder and a flash of lightning, the Wident appeared and, seizing the Witches flying branch in one of its ginormous hands it snapped it in two.
Then, roaring loudly from both of its mouths the Wident chased the Witch all the way back to her cottage.
After that, Will went back with the foreign princess to the palace of her father and, as a reward for saving the princess he was given her hand in marriage and they lived happily ever after.
