Dreaming of black cherries

I wake, I walk, I wonder what it is,
How do they do it, I think to myself,
Just presentation that's it,
It's power I'm after, domination.
It's like the two people in me competing for light,
One is dark and handsome the other a dreadful fright.
They tussle around inside my vast mind, every now and then a tap from behind, when I turn he takes control, lurching out my eyes, piercing my soul.
Then I'm at the back, watching as he controls those around us, making them laugh.
His brilliant banter and whitty remarks, those are my friends your pretending too, my friends, you ghoul.
My shadow is my worst enemy, I love him so much.
But next time were walking past those tall cliffs on the coast, and he tries to tap me up, its off the edge we go together, i'll give him a push.
Splash, I imagine as we both hit the water,
Then a rush to the surface, where she waits.
Man's last sacrifice being dragged to the slaughter.
His self.
Abrupt
