Sublimely Suburban Sparrow

Sublimely Suburban Sparrow
She sings in high notes
Each morn.
Her voice Mellifluous, though breaks heart.
Over us, she keeps sentinel.
Suburbia will be devoid of colour
Without our loyal sparrow.
You stole my heart- thy inner Londoner.
Mighty is her spirit
Her dainty flight is but a dream.
Suburbia would be impoverished
Without our lovely sparrow sublime.
She tells us tales many
Breathlessly.
Why its number was on decline
Previously.
But she is back now.
Our sparrow of delight.
Bird- feeders keep her well fed
So that she is myriad bred.

I liked the line Suburbia
I liked the line Suburbia will be devoid of colour Without our loyal sparrow, Yasemin.
It seemed to show that colouring our surroundings is a thing of life and activity, wings and song, not bright pigments only! Rhiannon
