Symphony of The Sea-Nymphs:

Symphony of The Sea-Nymphs:
The sea ebbs and flows
Murky;
Not crystalline nor blue!
Poseidon emerges out of a phantom
Ship!
Not taciturn today;
He roars
I can smell the rancid brew;
The sea nymphs are brewing
Trouble again in their cauldron
On the other side of the tide
His old age nemesis- Neptune;
A melody tunes
Anarchic notes blends
With archaic feuds.
It is a string quartet for
The restless sea nymphs
Gweneth the scarlet haired one
Will sing in high baritones
The rest will sing the chorus and play various instruments.
Neptune directs the orchestra!
" In our soot cauldron
We brew a yellow sea;
Murky with rotten fish
Poseidon slewed!”
Gweneth sings.
The chorus sings
“In our soot cauldron
We brew rage
As Poseidon rapes and enslaves!
Routinely!
The green blooded beast!”
Poseidon is distressed
By the false accusations:
He sniffs the rancid
Air again
Says
I am not guilty
Of any of these charges
Put against me.
It is slanderous
So I will sue
The nefarious beast:
Neptune!
Once I tame
His game!
Neptune continues with the tune
Unhearing the omniscient of the
Seas!
Gweneth sings
“Poseidon
Why did you pour black ink
In crystalline sea
Once it was in full symphony
With the tide of the moon
Now it ebbs and flows
Murky and ruinous
To the fish and the nymphs!”
The chorus sings
“In our soot cauldron
We brew rage
As Poseidon rapes and enslaves!
routinely!
The green blooded beast!”
Poseidon looks shocked and
Incredulous once again!
“It was not me!”
He protests vehemently!
“It was Neptune
Who poured black ink
Into crystalline sea!”
That’s what Zeus told me!
And it was Neptune who sank the
Mighty ships!
Sending storms!
They are nothing but
Phantom today; Titanic and
Others!”
With that Poseidon
Looked into the seaweed
Green eyes of Gweneth;
Deep! (The woman he loved
Once!)
They were big like saucers;
Dilated!
Then he knew the nymphs were
Duped; drugged!
And fooled
By Neptune!
Neptune was now their lord;
The nymphs sang to his tunes!
And his tunes only!
Until they declared an independent state
Of Sea-Nymphs!
The sea ebbed and flowed crystalline again.
