I like the feel of this.  I always thought a Tanka had to have five lines?  I suppose none of these forms are written in stone, though.

no not really. Tanka is much more flexiable than Haiku. Even with Haiku one doesn't necessarily have to obey the rigid syllabus rules which i always don't.
