To live a life

I'm made for nights, days blur for me like dreams-
live counter clockwise, cut the hours out,
to beat the darkness, track the hills and climb
uneasy summits built of guilt and doubt.
Facing the mountain I aim for the top,
yet once I'm there, my world seems plain and bleak.
I need a purpose for my heart to beat,
I cling to hope to reach another peak.
To live a life means not just feel alive,
I want the rainbows' magic, far ahead
the mountain tops, a challenge, darkness, rains,
to touch the stars, to justify the dead.
If I am silenced, I will shout out loud.
If there is quarrel, I will help it cease.
If joy is killed, I will respond with smiles.
If war declared, I shall campaign for peace.
