For their lives

This commotion
Produced
Loud noise

Was startled & frightened

A big man like you
Some one said

He then confessed
Was also afraid

Raised
The temperature
To make matters
Worst

Said
There are also
Lizards and snakes

My uncle came out
Gave us advice
Be calm
These huge
Rodents & reptiles
Are harmless

Heard him
With one ear
And dispensed it Thru the other

For town folks
Rodents & reptiles
Are anathema
Can cause trauma

They are to be
Feared and watched
For at times
They could be
Fierce & merciless
