WAIT A MINUTE
Wait a minute
He said
I waited
The minute elongated
Became an hour
Still waited
Became two hours
Never gave up hope
Now waited not for him
But for his calls
His calls never came
I still waited
The minute
Elongated became
Noon then afternoon
My patience was tested
Began to be frustrated
Little did I know
He had an accident
Never attempted to call
And didn't tell a soul
That he told me to wait
A minute
The minute which
Elongated
A miss-call could
Have done the trick
Now I know, I‘ll ask
For a number to contact
Then the minute
I had to wait would
Not be elongated.
