Ah...next time I'm in the cereal aisle emitting heavy sighs I will know I am in "depressed man setting." You have created a wonderful character in Spencer, Jane. Looking forward to reading more :)
A beguiling story. Nicely constructed with an eco message and a sinister finale. I could visualise the settings which added so much depth to the tale, figuratively and literally. Great stuff, Sim. Paul
Netanyahu is hinting at indefinite control over Gaza now moving away from the stance of cutting all ties once Hamas is defeated. This does not bode well for any kind of peace in this region. I'm afraid this instability and violence could go on...
Hi Jean. The journey continues and you take us with you in your writing. It's a rollercoaster for sure and we are all rooting for you. You are one of the bravest people I know. Keep smiling and stay positive. Yes, definitely an inspiration. As...
Some interesting historical comparisons and interesting that these may be your own thoughts rather than rogue reporter - Alfred Muggins. Civilians are inevitably the innocent victims of war. We continue to hope for common sense to prevail.
All caught up again. It feels like the story is moving from comedic to exploring the emotional consequences of this scenario. That's a substantial well to tap into. Looking forward to reading more :)
I'm glad I read it all. Just perfect for Halloween. I do love Gothic horror and the older tales from the likes of Poe and Irving. Skilfully done, Penny.

Such moving notes at the end of the poem. A beautiful tribute to your parents. Nicely done, Jenny.
