My stories

Smugglers

A lamb lay upon its back at the foot of the chalk cliffs, guillemots plucking at its gutstrings like deft tailors. While a bandy-legged shepherd led his charges down paths of wet scree and spume cuffed the white undercliff

Nook

She wrapped the babe in swatches filched from the pantry, where Cook stretched muslin over tins of treacle and candied dates to keep the rats from feasting.

An Open Letter To The Manager Of The "Local Saloon", Black Mountain Hills, Dakota

Dear Sir, I am writing on behalf of my client, Mr Rocco Racoon, concerning his recent stay at your establishment on the fourth of last month, during the town's annual 'Hoedown'.
