Find Myself

Tune to this song is Largo from Dvorak's "New World Symphony".

The Head of State's Eyes

Tears flowed From the head of state's eyes As he stood by the tomb Of his departed dears A vigorous victory Once again had occurred-- A great day headed for fame But for those there at rest It was all the same:

A Million Times Plus One

I have never stopped loving the tune "A Whiter Shade of Pale." I heard it the first time at age 16 or 17. Here is a little piece I completed recently while listening to the song over and over. So, why not get the song out(dust it off?) and play it as you read this piece aloud. Tell me what happens. If nothing happens, it's okay. Tell me that too. :)

Precious Lord, Take My Hand

This is another one of my favorite gospel songs. So, I am arrogant here in trying to pen a second or extra verse(I knew of only one, but yesterday, coincidentally(?), I heard what seemed like 3 verses sung by Roy Rogers and Dale Evans on an old recording.). M. Jackson sings only one on a DVD I have of her. Anyway, if anyone is interested...Also, what has my home state of Georgia done or what does it plan to do to honor Thomas A. Dorsey, the composer of this gospel song and a native also of Georgia? Maybe Dorsey wasn't as great and famous as Ray Charles, but I daresay Charles would tell us he LEARNED from Dorsey!

Reading Presley's Lips

Reading Presley's perfect lips Makes the reader hold in awe The Artist who could also chisel The eyes, brows, the jaw. Listening to Presley's tremulous voice Just makes the awe increase Hence, the gazer and the hearer
