I remember her purr
I remember her fur
Where did she go mother?
I’ve not seen her for a day now
Her winter coat
Her gentle feet
Her elegance and beauty
And of course she’s mine
Where has she gone?
It’s been a week now mother
Has she run to the meadows?
To dance with the others?
Will she come back?
I don’t want another
She was family
Why did she go?
She isn’t coming back
I see her everywhere
But the eyes lie
She was mine
And now she’s left
To dance with angels
And never grow tired
I miss my Willow
Now I lay on my pillow
And close my eyes
And there she is
Sitting on my lap
Rubbing her herself on me
Then I open my eyes
And then she’s gone.

Mine's called Chessie. I love her to bits. But not when she climbs our willow tree right to the top and has to be rescued.
A good read. Thank you
Tina
