A hint of fragrance;
Scent of life!
The daffodils sway,
Tidal; waves of yellow.
A squirrel sits among
The roots of an oak,
Head raised,
Whiskers twitching;
He smells it too!
Sunday morning,
Just the two of us,
Both recognizing,
Spring in the air!

We have many of the little rascals, squirrels I mean, that live in our garden ... or in our barn I should say. They seem to have developed quite a taste for sun-lounger cushions. Green-striped ones they like the best.
