Robotic rant.

Hi Beeme. I like the flavour of his one although it doesn't seem very well balanced yet. I prefer your Robot mania, easier for me to comment on than your broken heart ;-) No offence meant to your broken heart of course :-) lol

Sorry Beeme ;-) I may have expressed that badly - just went hunting for 3 or 4 of what I saw as your unrequited love poems to give you an example and was unable to lay my hands on them as quickly as I imagined. Anyway, I feel sure you understand my meaning :-)

I really like the ideas behind some of your poems - always sort of new-ish - to me at least ;-) As usual I want to 'borrow' it and turn it into my own - ha ha! Could there be a surprise for us all? With alien dignitaries up for a brawl? Stalking us in a non sci-fi world, with UFO Jacks on their shoulders, unfurled? Could there be a surprise for them? When Beeme and friends make them vanish with phlegm? .... lol - sorry - just playing along ;-) Keep at it Beeme - it's a good idea - in fact, even though you have a head start, I'll race you to THE 'Robots are Taking Over' poem ok?

It's your version Beeme - with just a little work - so go for it mate ;). But as I said before if you want to get rewarded by ABC, it's probably best to get someone else's advice because all of my stuff is invisible. Perhaps Sarah, Magic or Sunday might be prepared to help you move forward? No harm in asking. I laughed at your splendor/bender rhyme too by the way ;-). As for the challenge? Maybe. I'm starting to get a strong feeling from various quarters that I'm wasting my time on here, perhaps ruffled a few of the wrong feathers, shone my torch in cracks that some would prefer left in the dark, who can be sure? I may be wrong, perhaps my work is just crap in ABC terms - or that too. lol I'm sure you will agree it's pretty boring when you write something that you think is good or makes you laugh your head off like 'Vodka & Gauloises' and nobody or only one person comments on it! I wrote a poem early on called Bail or Fail and I think I know how it works now. Anyway Beeme, I think you should start writing the robot poem for a showdown on Friday night. How does that sound? Should give you plenty of time so I'm expecting the finished article, not a draft ok? The rules are: 1) Write as if you are entering it into a competition. 2) Subject = Robots (anytime/anyplace etc) 3) No silly spelling mistakes 4) No your/you're errors 5) You have to let me win. ;-) lol Ok, number 5 aside what do you think? I must admit I am stressing already, you have an inventive mind - and a bit of practise under your belt ;-)

Rule 7 : use of the word 'aloud' where 'allowed' is required will result in immediate disqualifartation ;-) lol Best check their meanings in a dictionary - could make all the difference :-) By the way did I mention Rule 8? No? Rule 8 : Jupiter will judge and the judges decision is final Ha! Ha! Who should we ask to judge? How about a panel of any of these depending on who is on and who is willing to play? Sarah, Magic, Sunday, Silver, Whiskey & 3Leaf What say you?

It's my ball and if you don't like it I'm going home ;-) lol It has to be competition-like Beeme so that you not only create and write but you do all the other stuff necessary, such as check your work for errors. I am giving you plenty of time to do that - don't you think? Anyway, I've just finished mine so you had best get scratching your head mate ;-) lol

Actually, I was joking Beeme - I haven't started yet. Robots are not one of my usual subjects so I will need to seek out an interesting angle :) Could be tough!

Ok! Ladies and Gentlemen we have a new contender who has thrown down the gauntlet - SundaysChild (hooray!!) - and the challenge has been accepted. This will of course disqualify Sunday from judging and result in the renaming of the trophy to the .... Beeme-Jupiter-Sunday Crown (wild applause!!) Please be sure to acquaint yourself with the rules Sunday ;-)lol Showtime will be Friday at 7pm. Competition will begin with the rounding up of judges in advance (not quite sure how I'm going to manage that one - I'll think of something ;-)) and the posting of all 3 entries simultaneously shortly thereafter. Is everyone happy?

It's the taking part that counts Beeme - I agree Sunday's work is very hot but that just gives us the opportunity to raise our game eh? ;-) I have so far asked Magic to judge and she has kindly agreed. Good on ya Magic. Damn! I'd better get some ideas - fast! This is a goer!! Oops :-)

Hello Beeme! So sorry I haven't commented on any of your work until now! *blushes* But I love this poem, especially these lines; 'Take a second look at your computers when you leave a room,check for any movement!' This made me laugh and that's the important thing! I'm looking forward to judging this Friday! And thank you for trusting me with such a prestigious job ;) Magic xxx

Hi Beeme. It's off! On reflection I'm not sure that this is the correct place for it. I was hoping to have received some sort of editorial acceptance or rejection of this idea and although none of the editors have actually said they aren't in favour of it and the Code of Conduct doesn't deem it to be unacceptable, I wouldn't want to step on anyone's toes if you know what I mean? And besides, if your poem isn't ready by now then you probably need someone else motivating you. ;-) lol So I hope you have had fun coming this far and I look forward to seeing what you have produced.
