You stare in the mirror, pertubed by the reflection.
Running your delicate fingers across the lines on your face.
Thinking the exquisiteness and winsomeness is out of place.
Touch your skin, it's bleak and glacial.
Touch your heart, it's affectionate and sincere.
You question me, will you always be here?
To care for me, alleviate-ameliorate-assist me.
I consign to oblivion.
Think about her passions, gold and diamond rings.
Do they cure like a drug, the pain living brings?
I reply,
Always.
We touch hands.
Always,
is how long God dictates.
