Aurora Moon writes on vellum,
dipping a nib into an antique pot.
There's a smell of patchouli and
joss sticks in the cheesecloth
of her dress.
There are no blots, for Ms Moon
never lifts the pen, once the muse
is on her. Ergo such great
innovation - in the matter
of line breaks.
And if – serendipitously perhaps –
an archaic word slips into adverb
from adjective: well, so what?
A truly creative poet makes her
own words up.
Aurora likes the dark side and
titillates her readers with veiled
bondage references and glamorous
vampires, voodoo and vacuous
turns of phrase.
Aurora Moon has myriad fans
-she says- and has been published,
more than once, by other people too.
The name itself is fiction, she doesn't
like her own.
