I planted her snowdrops
against the dark earth
where they can be seen,
and the lawn is allowed to grow
bright daisies show, against the green,
she tells me the apple blossom
looks like a snowy tv screen,
but the scent is stronger
than it's ever been,
and at night she touches my face
and tells me:
to her I will never get older,
in the dark, she paints me pictures
of what to plant for summer.
