Madness is lip-synching
to an unwritten song;
Stupidity is the other
trying to sing along.

Crazy is dancing
to a completely different tune;
Delirious is wondering
what happened to the moon.

Idleness is slouching
paying nothing any mind.
Boredom is pacing up and down
whining about the daily grind;

Lust is playing hard to get
while flirting ceaselessly
and at the end, there you are,
Patience, waiting for me.

"Crazy is dancing to a completely different tune; Delirious is wondering what happened to the moon." This has to be my favourite stanza in this very cleverly written poem. Like it, a lot. Tina

Would have to agree with Tina, this is very indeed well and cleverly written, I would have to disagree with Tina and say the first stanza is definitely my favourite.

I'm glad it appealed to you enough for you to pick a favourite stanza. I suppose if I had to pick, my favourite stanza is the last one. Magic, thanks to you as well. It really is how my mind feels some days - all over the place. But I wouldn't change it for anything. Thanks to the cherry-giver too. What a lovely Saturday morning surprise.
