Heaven

I am always trying to find somewhere that I can call home, rumour has it that when I reach this place I will feel better. Living my life may indeed become easier, it's selfish being wrapped up in feelings always boxing yourself off from everybody else dramatizing your emotions until nothing else counts. Always looking back in anguish but I'm trying hard to live a better life, although when things start to go well something snatches me back and I can't take it anymore.
I saw a glimpse of heaven across the moonlight sky, the opening was so small like a crack in the center of the universe, not how I imagined. Nothing like in biblical references but I stretched my arms out and tried to bridge the difference; I wasn't entirely thinking straight.
An angel called out, I think she wanted me to follow but I'm afraid of heights. So I froze, whilst she shone like star in the sky. I smiled as she held out her hands and lifted me onto steps climbing upward. I was hesitant at first but realized this could be just what I needed.
And she tells me to let myself listen to the symphony of the world and truly hear. A wise man freed her from the boundaries of life flew down to teach her the joys of living in a new dimension, a universe where every creation connected. From the bud which I blossomed, a seedling of earth – not a rarity many others did too. But I gathered dust which would otherwise be floating in an oblivion of conformity.
Because I longed to be free and with each flight of stairs Earth was becoming a small but significant planet to which my soul was proud. I prayed before I reached the top for you, I asked whatever was behind the doors to free the aching of boredom from your veins and release your creativity because you're blessed with words working to the rhythm of your heart.
