You’ve made me rant,
You’ve made me cry,
You’ve made me lose my cool,
But of all the things you’ve made me do
You’ve made me hate you.

You pushed me out,
You laughed at me,
You joked about my life,
But of all the thing that you have done,
You’ve belittled me.

Just because I didn’t dance
Or have a privileged life,
You seem to think it makes me
A less a person than you.

I lived my life the way I knew,
I dealt with loss alone,
I took care of myself,
I hide the fears
I held down deep inside
I lived the life I knew.

The problems I’ve had
Have surfaced now,
Will we recover
The friendships we made
In those first few weeks
That were meant to last forever?

I hear the birds,
But I see the stars,
That carry my dreams to Heaven,
Will you see the sacrifice,
I have made to include you?

The anger has subsided,
The pain is starting to numb,
Others take the feeling,
And distract my mind
From this.

The friends that now surround me,
Are the ones I want around,
They help me to calm down,
And help me see this life
The way it needs to be.
