SQUATTER ( 1 )
Imagine yourself
Squatting in a
House you used
To call your own
You have become
'unwanted guest'
The house is
Your temporary abode
You're not on board
Is not your own
Is what I felt
Today
Of all days
Today
Angry demon
Dormant for
Four decades
Raised its ugly heads
And tentacles
Made me loose my cool
Not only with myself
But my loved ones
My other self
Made me feel alone
In a household
Of four
Feel forlorn
Lonely
Isolated
Rendering me
Inadequate
And
Redundant
Controlled by
Everybody
Except myself
How I longed
Be in control
Of myself
Today I felt
Don't belong
To myself
Don't own anything
Let alone my house
Even myself
Not that am interested
In material things
Except my positive
Inner thoughts
Am now owned by
Someone or
Dark powers
Am lost
Conquered by
Dark
Disturbing thoughts
Am forlorn
Am not me anymore
Forsaken
And
Abandoned
Am just a Squatter
In a house
I used to
Call my own
I rationalised
Said to myself
Am mere mortal
Have to come to terms
With myself
Am n't immortal
Let alone my house
This world
Is my temporary abode
Am like a tourist
Ephemeral guest
