A sprig of holly
I was bussing home the other day
My journey just begun
When a pair of gym shoes passed me
With the laces all undone
Short trousers on a pair of legs
Blue woolly leggings underneath
My interest now was captured
It was all beyond belief
A thick red patterned quilted coat
Very warm it’s true
The hands protruding from the sleeves
Wore gloves, one red, one blue
A strange old lady had joined my bus
Her garb just blew my mind
There was a scarf tied round her old straw hat
The ends hung down behind
Two more scarves held the hat on
Ends tied beneath her chin
To top it all her old straw hat
Had a sprig of holly in.
----OOOO----

Hi Geoff,
This is so interesting to read, if you had not told me, I
would never have believed it was real.
Ah holly! Christmas is nearly here, perhaps she was trying
to tell us.
Jenny.

No, I didn't find it in the street and I was wearing my best hat too! That's why I needed the two scarves and who you calling old? I'm only twenty-six I am and I washed me hands and face. Me laces were undone 'cos I'm a martyr to me feet!
A very enjoyable read. Gonna look for some more now.
