I promise you Mum,
I will grow to be strong.
And think of the good times,
And none of the wrong.

I promise you Mum,
I will look after Dad.
And cheer him right up,
If he ever feels sad.

I promise you Mum,
Your memories shall stay.
In our thoughts and our minds,
Never pushed away.

I promise you Mum,
Our family will thrive.
And stay close together,
To keep you alive.

I promise you Mum,
That whatever I do.
I will ask myself,
Would you do it too?
