SOME SHINE FROM THE FIRMAMENT
By kheldar
- 2018 reads
Some shine from the firmament
Their station seeming permanent,
Within, without, a stellar glow
Held in awe by we below.
With pen akin to sorcerer's wand
Or QWERTY board that's way beyond
A mere device of lettered keys,
Transforming words to symphonies.
Imagined tales? Life's raw grist?
All imbued with genius twist,
To higher planes mere words are raised
By wordsmiths who are rightly praised.
I exist on a lower tier
I'm no poetic mountaineer,
Not for me to scale such heights
On lesser slopes I set my sights.
At times I'm cowed by greater skill
I falter for a while till
Although not silk I yet perceive
There's room for cloth of lesser weave.
Some shine from the firmament
Their station seeming permanent,
In truth I'll never match their glow
There's ample space for we below.
