Suddenly from nowhere, sprang what looked like a hundred guards. In reality, there was only six. Two grabbed me before I could get my sword and shield out to defend myself. Two grabbed Azzet, and two grabbed Rewolfnus in lightening speed. Then they frog marched us into Queen Azarim’s castle, and down into the bottom, to the dungeons.
They flung us all in, slammed the door shut, then I heard the key turn in the lock.
The dungeon was a depressing room, with stone walls and a cold stone floor, and no windows.
“We’re doomed!” I wailed.
“Don’t give up hope,” Rewolfnus said. “Surely there is something we can do?”
“Like what? They’ve locked us in here, with no means of escape! It’s the end for our planet, and we know it!”
“May I be of assistance?”
We all looked toward the source of the voice. A man came out of the shadows. He looked to be my age, and was quite handsome. He was wearing shabby clothes, and looked as though he’d been in here for ages.
“My name is Rahc” I said. “Who are you?”
“Do forgive me. I am Prince Mass, Queen Azarim’s son. My mother threw me down here years ago, so that I would never become King. She wants to be Queen of Dark Land forever. My father, King Krad, tried to stop her, and was killed in the process.”
“So… Look, I don’t mean to be rude, but how can you help us?” Rewolfnus asked Prince Mass.
“I am a magician,” Prince Mass answered. “And I’ve been down here for five years. The whole time, I’ve been secretly working on a potion to safely get me out of here, and somewhere far away from here. But it sounds as though you need it more than me.”
“Yes,” I said. “Your mother and your grandmother, Queen Miraza of Robinson Land, plan on ruling the whole of this planet, and it into a planet that looks like Dark Land.”
“Yes, you do need it more than me,” Prince Mass said. “All you have to do, is take a sip of the potion, and yell out where you want to go. Also, you have to hold hands with each other, so you can all go together.”
“But what about you?” I asked.
“I’ll stay here. I’ve been down here for five years. I’ll be okay.”
“I’ll come back for you,” I said.
Prince Mass handed me the potion, which was hidden beneath his shabby clothes, I held hands with Azzet and Rewolfnus, and shouted out: “ROBINSON LAND, QUEEN MIRAZA‘S CASTLE!!!”
In a flash, Prince Mass and the dungeon disappeared, and I found myself outside. At first, I thought I’d got it wrong and that I’d found myself back in Dark Land. There were black clouds hovering around overhead, there were thorns sprouting everywhere, instead of rose bushes. But it became clear to me what had happened. Since I’d left, Queen Miraza had shaken off her ‘nice personality’, and turned the country into ruins.
I made my way towards Queen Miraza’s castle, which I could see in the distance, Azzet and Rewolfnus close beside me. Rewolfnus gazed sadly at his beloved Field Of Sunflowers, which had become the Field Of Thorns instead. I patted him on the shoulder sympathetically.
We all found ourselves in the castle’s courtyard as a figure outside from the castle. I recognised her as Queen Miraza. Remembering she’d ordered my imprisonment, I didn’t run to greet her as I normally would. We all hid behind a pillar.
“Okay, what do we do now?” Azzet asked.
“Well, we somehow get the potion off her, and stop her turning the planet into Thorn World,” I said.
We watched as Queen Azarim joined her mother.
“The carriage is ready, Mother,” I heard her say. “You may leave whenever you want.”
Mustering up all my courage, I stepped out from behind the pillar.
“Not so fast!” I yelled out.
The two queens looked at me in surprise. Then Queen Miraza actually smiled.
“What is this? I thought I asked you to put her in the dungeon, Azarim?”
“I did, Mother, I did. I don’t know how she could’ve escaped,” Queen Azarim answered, glaring at me.
Queen Azarim lunged toward me. Quick as a flash, I brought my golden sword, and with one clean sweep, chopped Queen Azarim’s head off.
Queen Miraza gazed sadly at her dead daughter, lying on the ground. Then she looked at me.
“Really,” she said. “All this killing. It’s unnecessary. Come join me, Rahc. I’ll forget all about my plan and you can become Queen of Robinson Land with me.”
But I wasn’t stupid. I had very good sight. I noticed that Queen Miraza’s hand was sneaking a dagger that she had tucked in her back pocket out in front of her. Before she could stab me, she, too, had her head cut off.
I stood there in the courtyard, looking down at the two evil queens, knowing that it was all over.
And now I suppose you’ll want to know how this story ends.
Well, first of all, I found the Love Potion in Queen Azarim’s cloak, and destroyed it, so it would never be used. The two queens were given Royal burials. They may have been evil, but they were still queens. Then I went back to Dark Land via the potion Prince Mass had given me, and I freed him, like I promised I would, and I eventually married him. We had two children, Prince Notna, in memory of my bodyguard, and Princess Ycul, after the princess from the story of The Pool Of Golden Water. Everyone was so grateful that I’d stopped the evil, that I became the Warrior Queen of Robinson Land, and Prince Mass ruled with me as King Mass. Dark Land and Robinson Land became all one country, Robinson Land, and the country went back to the way it was before, permant sunshine, rose bushes, friendly invisible animals, and the Field Of Thorns went back to being the Field Of Sunflowers. Rewolfnus left his home in the Field Of Sunflowers, and took up permanent residence in our palace, as Lord Protector, while Azzet carried on being my bodyguard.
Now it is many years later. Prince Notna is turning twenty, while Princess Ycul is eighteen. Soon, Princess Ycul will be marrying a king in a far off country and becoming Queen, while Prince Notna will become King of Robinson Land.
All is good and wonderful in the country of Robinson Land.
