(Sea Story, extract)

well it looks that way. my family got more than one entry in a local history museum, but then that happened to other local seafaring families too. and it wasn't all gloom - my gran lived, or I wouldn't be here facing the modern hazards of typing stories on abctales thanks for reading and thanks eds for cherry!

cheers Geoffrey, very generous not sure if it IS steam to be honest, been meaning to check with my mum if she knows, but as I wasn't sure I think I didn't say... All I know is everyone else was moving on to engines and Grandad had his boat adapted and some sort of engine put on, but kept the sails. Which is exactly the nutty sort of thing I would probably have done too. It must have been a sad day for conventional sailors when engines came along and made all their knowledge redundant, pretty much.

Hiya Luly It's the name of a rock formation in the area. I don't really know why they're called that. Thanks for reading, afraid I took most of this down after a bit as I needed to finish it up...
