There is a modern day language
it is used to explain
describe and decorate
numbness of feeling
prettiness of smiles
how the weather changes
as the earth turns
its passing days
There is strengh in engines, they roar like lions
whilst roaming hills are forgot, misplaced
on a misty summer August morn
The door is locked
he is gone again
unlocked he is returned
he has no modern
day language
to explain his pain
or the emptiness
of his modern
day world
as once more
it turns again.

I completely missed this one, Louise. It is beautiful. So very poignantly, it gets its message across...one that many will identify with.
