Good Friday

Tinned red salmon and hot cross buns,
The Wood of the Cross and two collations,
The curtain of the Tabernacle rent in two,
and shuffle our way round
the fourteen stations.

Easter Sunday still before us,
Morning Mass with choir and chorus.
Back to the house for cabbage and bacon,
the promise of chocolate
and Eternal Salvation.
