M.P.'s LAMENT

Now I'm in Parliament
I've got no life.
I don't see the kids
and I don't see the wife.
The pay isn't bad but it isn't enough.
It doesn't pay all of my bills.
I'll have to get used to it, isn't it tough?
But that is the least of my ills.
With constituents grumbles we deal,
and we sit in the House until late
Put together the hours are not real,
on a bad week we pass sixty eight!
The expenses do cause us some pain,
all the forms to be filled it's so hard.
To solve our dilema and help us keep sane
why can't we just pay with a card?
But the holidays here aren't so bad,
we can go to the country together.
Nineteen weeks every year do hear that one dad?
Get abroad for a bit of good weather!
So to those who say we are not worth it,
we say that's hard luck, we are here.
We are staying , you're paying,
shut up and go cry in your beer!
