Tumbling through
my kitchen window –
the early morning sun
seducing
every inch of me
like a long-lost flame
springing to life...
coming back
as the prodigal one...
reminding me
of an afternoon
hanging out
after school
I was ten –
you were twelve,
and you lost
your contact lens
and I found it.
‘Magic!’ you said.
And I know
what you meant;
right there...
right that moment
would’ve given
anything
for you to lay me
gently
in your pocket...
take me home.

Well deserved cherry!
Full of young love's memories.
And the contact lenses.
Someone I knew lost his lenses,
searching,on the floor, I'd hardly
knew what they looked like.
