Benny the Chocolate Fish

BENNY THE CHOCOLATE FISH

Of all the creatures in the sea
There's one thing they all want to be
They swim and eat and sheg and wish
That they could be Benny, the chocolate fish

What's so special? I hear you ask
As you sit in the office on your lovely chair
About this dark chocolate fish called Benny
That inspires such yearning in so many?

Benny is unique, of that there's no doubt
He's faster than tuna, sleeker than trout
He's nicer than kippers and just for a lark
He appears from the kelp and startles the sharks

But where did he come from? This piscine brown?
Why do sad dolphins and mermaids drown
When they realise Benny's forever out of reach?
Found heartbroken, dead and washed up on the
beach

He's sleek and he's slinky and he's faster than light
He frolics in sunshine, snoozes in caves every night
He makes all the other fishes smile and laugh
Kiddies and girls would like him in their bath

But its his sweet choccy scent that drives them all crazy
Fish, mammal, mermaid, slow, dashing or lazy
His dark, rich aroma makes them all wish
That they could all lick that nice chocolate fish

But Benny is clever and he sends them to sleep
With his sonorous lovewaves he sends from the deep
They hear him, they smell him and then with a swish
He's gone and they're dreaming of eating Benny the Fish

But Benny got cocky and thought he was cooool
When he whizzed and crashed through Orca's poker school
They scrapped the game and chased little Choccy
Out of sea, out of river and into the docky

Benny panicked as he ran out of space
His wee chocky body was feeling the pace
He didn't want to end his days as a porker
Or gobbled in slices by a shoal of fierce Orca

His song of sleep failed to make the whales snore
He felt them get closer, could hear their big jaws
In desperation he swam right into the shore
Where he died and was saved as a gift for Miss Paws

So spare a thought for this fish made of choc
He got too clever and was given a shock
Now the sea is choc-free and miss Paws has a dish
You're dessert for this evening is a nice chocolate Fish
