THE BRUSH WITH A WILD ANIMAL

The huge pigeons
have gone
their heads 2ft tall
by the wall
Then appeared
a baby squirrel
on the pillar post
from the park way down
Plus two shocks!
within 2 weeks
now hubby out 3pm
in the day
Came round the tight corner
only 2ft away
a ginger fox
nearly knocked him down
I have seen a duck
on a lead
ferrets runnning along
wonder what's next?
been a mental week too
Last time back
from 'The Wheatsheaf' London
mid-night rushing by
the full moon was out
The black cat darted in
and the sly fox
whizzed by again
caught our eyes

Life does sound exciting, if not a touch dangerous...in your neck of the woods, Julie. All those animals around;-)
I enjoyed your poem, very much, and I must admit to never having seen, or heard of 'a duck on a lead' before. The owner of the duck must have been completely 'quackers';-)

Hi julie,
you certainly have a lot of wild animals where you
live and a lot of escapes from danger.
A very lively poem.
Thankyou for sharing.
