Fallen Seeds

Where then, shall we send the fallen seeds,
Gone to ground, before the flowers bloomed?
Ought we not cover them, with glory’s deeds,
Ensuring thus, their memory’s not doomed?
Where then, shall we send the tender leafs,
Crushed and scattered, by the angry wind?
Blown so far from gardens, where there grieves,
Those, whose love for them will not rescind.
When then, shall we cry ‘Is this enough?’
How many must we kill, how many die,
Before the generals, lose their huff and puff;
Before we even ask the question, ‘Why?’
When then, shall we cry ‘No more! No more!’
And bending knee, pray all mankind, take heed;
There has to be a better way than war,
To find the peace, that every man doth need.
