Zookeeper
By shades

I’ve had hugs and kisses from snakes and lizards,
Had my ears nibbled by a giraffe,
I’ve been buzzed at by bees that stung both my knees,
Quite funny but I didn’t laugh.
I’ve had tigers attack, had a seal slap my back,
And a lioness chew on my trainer.
That lioness was mad the worst that I’ve had,
It took me a month just to tame her.
I’ve been rolled in a rug that was crawling with bugs,
They were doing their utmost to bug me.
I was trapped in a cage with a bear in a rage,
That insisted on trying to hug me.
I was once left alone when a mule stole my phone,
He called up my contacts that night.
He chased me around with my phone in his mouth,
Till I made my escape at first light.
My friends tend to laugh, they’re jealous at heart.
They text me a lot just to tease me.
It’s true what I say; it’s a challenge each day,
A zookeeper’s life isn’t easy.
