Light was falling like rain
Slowly waking the morning dew
Making grass shimmer and shine
Like a kaleidoskope of joy
Taking shelter in morning new
Was a trickle of golden mist
Darkness now a distant memory
Light brings warmth to the dawn
Silence broken only by song
And a flutter of beating hearts
A new welcome for the earth
As the morning now breaks free.

The first line captured me
The first line captured me and then it was a joy to be a prisoner.

Makes you want to get up and see, experience the hour for yourself. Thank you! Rhiannon

Hello Edenfalls, How do you
Hello Edenfalls,
How do you write like that? The imagery is so good. Your words create beautiful pictures. Mine on the other hand conjure up a dirty washing, laundry basket!
Really enjoyed reading this poem.
