...I made a garland for her head.
And bracelets too,and fragrant zone;
She look'd at me as she did love,
And made a sweet moan.
I set her on my pacing steed,
And nothing else saw all day long;
For sidelong would she bend,and sing
A faery's song.
She found me roots of relish sweet,
And honey wild,and manna dew,
And sure in language strange she said-
'I love thee true'...
"At the touch of love,everyone becomes a poet".
I received this to-day. Valentine card from Ray!
If it is not allowed,will delete if told too.
By John Keats 1819.
Thought may like too read it.
It is a card from Ray,
from a 2nd hand market place.
Wasn't sure if allowed to put on,
as not my poem. But my last one "Song Of Songs"
The bible, has the highest readings overwhelmed
a wedding we went too a bit back!
The picture is a Knight
and Rossetti. I think!
I am enjoying all your wonderful
replies and comments.
Thanks. Have a lovely evening,Valentines day,
just enjoy yourselves whatever!
