The poetess

I know a lovely poetess
Her poetry causes me distress
That I relieve with sobs and tears
And paper hankies

So to mop up tearful issues
That affect my water works
I have devised a strategy
And when emotion gets to me

I buy up lots of tissues
To place around my house
So I can stem the watery flow
By mopping up where ere I go

Thus I’m not too far away
From salvation when her poetry
Returns to trigger memory
Once more

Opening the floodgates
I am now prepared
Whichever room I’m in
To soak up the results
