Heart Library

It is free for you to borrow,
But costly for you to keep,
The potential stock encouraging,
But the late fees are very steep.
Mahogany caskets guard the walls,
Staunch and decorated as colonels,
The catalogue is limitless,
Come, come and browse our annals.
Do you desire an untouched first edition?
Or are aged copies more of a treat?
Are simpler hears more to your flighty taste?
Like tongues, hearts are both bitter and sweet.
There is a heart here for everyone,
And of course, we self-publish our own,
Here the words are not written,
Our produce is organically grown.
Come and pick your poison now,
Check it out at the desk,
Once it has been issued,
Keep it on the shelf of your breast.
Hearts cost nothing to take (or steal),
But a warning with this final breath.
Do not keep a heart unrenewed for long,
The late fee here is death.
