I came home from an ordinary day
Took off my steels and started talking about the exploits of my day
You were in the kitchen as always
Making the tea
Listening like you always did
To the ramblings of my day unfolded
Thats when I saw it
Thats when the shockwave hit me
A slap so hard it made me stumble backwards
You looked at me as I looked at you
I said "is it positive"
You produced a second test
I love the way you know me so well
"There both positive" you said "are you ok"
I took you tight in my arms a tear leaving my eye
"Of course I am darling, im better than ok"
"Im a dad"

Good one syphon and heart
Good one syphon and heart felt. Brill poem. A little observation if I may? Try to look again at the ending of the very first two lines, perhaps something other than the repetition of 'day'.
No matter, it still good.

Great write, my miss’s rapt one and put a ribbon around it for me when I came home and said it’s for you a gift. :)
