KISSES RAINING DOWN

the clouds were torn asunder
and the thunder shook my bones
the clouds went black and blundered
its no wonder my mind moaned
but you've brought about the morning
with a glory so profound
and i find at last the storm has passed
now kisses raining down
the lightning cracked the ether
like a creature driven wild
and the moon disguised it's features
like a frightened little child
but your sunlight, darkness shattered
shadows scattered all around
and i find i'm blessed, the storm has left
now kisses raining down
the winds screamed through the hollows
and were followed by a roar
and inside my fear i wallowed
like apollo, god no more
then your lovely voice was singing
hymns were ringing, joyous sound
for you've brought the dawn, the tempest gone
now kisses raining down
