While I am merely a man, let me admire
that splendour I shall become part of,
when I am dressed in the leaves and the flowers;
when I am married to the Earth for all time;
deep in the home of the setting sun.
Then I shall be as lustrous as the placid lake
that, tranquilly, reflects upon the skies;
then I shall sing tulips from my mouth
and roses, like love, will take root in my heart;
then my eyes will shine bright amongst the stars,
my hands shall weave webs and build nests in the trees
and my joyous tears rattle the rooftops of the Earth;
in the hot summer I shall blow soft kisses on you
and, when the clouds drift apart, you will see me smile.

Good morning JoHn,
tears filled my eyes as I read this and a shiver
ran through me, because this is absolutely beautiful.
I so enjoyed reading and thankyou for sharing.

Hi JoHn,
just came back to say I'm in full agreement with
you about the wildlife struggling to survive. As
you say we are so lucky as humans.
Jenny.
