Flowers for the New Year;
flowers for the Spring;
for bright hope; for good cheer
and new life awakening.
Ring in the year with bluebells
and sing the Sun King’s praises
with a choir of chrysanthemums
and daffodils and daisies.
Baby pink carnations
for Earth’s reincarnation;
violets for its opening eyes;
red tulips for its grin.
Multi-coloured roses
for its bright metamorphosis
when,spreading wings,the spring will rise
like a butterfly fluttering.

lovely the way have you,almost made
the flowers talk,each a meaning.
Multi-coloured roses
for its bright metamorphosis
when,spreading wings,the spring will rise
like a butterfly fluttering.
Daughter loves dark roses
my belated mum called Violet.
