Blue sky, crisp air,
glinting floods,
reflections
of reversed
bare-boned trees;
refreshing breeze;
dashing down dips
(he’s in front,
hope he’s taking care)
struggling up hills
(am I doing my fair share?),
he’s out of condition,
had a chest infection,
(I’m no cyclist, take a back-seat,
but try to push my muscles
to power two more feet).
Back home,
cheeks glow,
cobwebs blown,
away they’ve flown
from eyes and head,
the dust and fluff have fled,
just as the gloom and driving rain
had cleared once again.

Thanks for taking me with you on your bike ride, Rhiannon. No wonder you found it a bit of a task up those hills;-)
Seriously though, some lovely descriptions here. Much enjoyed.
A happy new year to you, and I hope the 'gloom and driving rain', stay away, for at least the next few days or so.

Rhiannonw, I must apologise
Rhiannonw,
I must apologise I saw in one of your comments that you asked me how the Parkinson's play readings went because I had said I was worried they were under rehearsed. Well it went off very well. They all acted out of their skins and I was really proud of them. And thank you for asking.

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
What fun, going on a tanden bike ride on New Year's day - no doubt that we be an abiding memory.
Did you do anything equally fun on the one just gone?
