Two Brothers Sailed.

- 991 reads
Two brothers sailed from the isle of muck,
They took a silver coin for luck,
A barrel of laughs and one of beer,
And a miniature mule to carry their gear,
They knew the journey ahead was long,
So they hired a singer to sing them a song,
The singer brought with him musicians,
A valet, a chef and his own physician,
The physician had men to carry his cases,
Stripped to the waist with dirt on their faces,
They bought with them two girls from the shore,
Who in turn bought along three more.
The leading girl had a Siamese cat
Dressed in a suit and boating hat
It scaled the mast and frightened the crew,
As the ship rolled on and the east wind blew.
When evening came the brothers sailed
The musicians played and the singer wailed,
The burley men with their dirty faces,
Put the girls through their dancing paces,
The valet kept the chefs whites white,
And the chef made meals for the crew at night.
The physician did his rounds by day,
Limes from his bag kept the scurvy at bay.
The Siamese cat chased the miniature mule,
And the barrel of laughs and the beer kept cool,
Where they were heading the two men forgot,
They could still be sailing, though probably not.
