I could compare it to a flower
but a flower’s sure to wilt
or compare it to the sweetest wine
but wine can be spoilt and spilt.
I could compare it to a Summer
but a Summer always ends
and our love will last forever;
forever lovers and good friends.

I could compare it to a fire
but a fire turns to ash.
I could compare it to a fortune
but you can run out of cash.
If I compared it to a shining star
then maybe that would do.
‘Cause as long as stars keep shining,
that is how long I’ll love you.

Thank you, Tina. Writing to orders not my strong point and I know it's not a great love poem but it was written in something of a rush so that I could post it on V-day. I'm really glad you liked it.
