Time of the year, really ..

If the place is empty,
how do you make the sales,
that are required in our workplace (l sell clothing to males)

The managers expect me,
to ring the tills all day.
But when it is this time of year
those blokes don't want to pay.

There are some very rich folk,
who jingle dosh in pocket.
I think they're waiting for the sales to end.
New stock? Unlock it ..

YOU know what happens in higher places.
Them up there don't see no faces
in our store, we still have to take,
the revenue in,
(to keep them sweet)

'The big boss, he is in today'.
Ooooh, terrifying, aren't they.
We never have a chance to say
a quick hello, they swish away
without a glance over our face
you're just a number in this place.

I do appreciate l have my job, mind ..
