What I am to you?
-Dark black blotches,
Mascara on a white T-shirt
-The convergence of red into blue
As the sun rises in the sky
-Deep sombre utterances,
As the late hours become
-The midmorning madness
Of a numb thumb
-The bright slight soulless thump
Of a tickled heart.
What you are to me?
-A ghost
A reflection
-A phantom
Apparition in the recesses of my memory
-Seaward
Like a tidal goddess that Jove seeks
-A sunless hour
Waited for in the darkness, cold
-Stark light
Blinding, harsh, uncalled for.
We are- Soul.
