A Natural Frenzy

The retreating shoreline
is a washboard of
trickled-on memories

where sea foam
smothers clam shells
and strings of dulce --

a decoration as fringe.

Descending splashes
roar an approval
during high tide’s rush

digging at the mainland
scoop after scoop.

Thank you very much, jolono; such a kind remark. Richard ps. finally grass breaking through on our lawns. Winter has been a roller coaster of emotions---and a shuffling of clothes from heavy to light and back again with the temperatures playing dipsy-doodle.
